When you elect "Sign for Myself and the Insured", you can collect the down payment or pay now using IPFS Payment Options. You also have the ability to initiate ACH AutoPay enrollment for your insured.
Workflow
- Collect the down payment and agree to the representations to submit the signed agreement to IPFS.
OR
- Pay now using IPFS payment options by selecting the payment account (agent or insured) and then the method (ACH or Credit Card).
- ACH
- Agent Account - existing agency accounts are displayed and you can add an account.
- Insured Account - the by proxy is checked and you must add the insured account and agree to representations.
- Both options allow you to initiate ACH AutoPay enrollment by selecting ACH AutoPay.
- Enter the insured's ACH bank account and submit.
- IPFS will notify the insured via email.
- The insured must consent to the enrollment on ipfs.com. Insured Guide - Consent to AutoPay.pdf
- Credit Card
- If authorized, a toggle for recurring payments can be selected.
- Agree to the terms and select Submit PFA.
- Enter the card details and billing address.
- Select Confirm Purchase.
- Credit card transactions appear as IPFS Corporation on your statement.
- An online payment receipt is displayed.
- When paying the markets a commission popup is available.
- ACH
- The confirmation email is sent to the insured and the signor if the Automated Submission Email setting in Settings > My Preferences is unchecked. If checked the signor will be the sole recipient of the email.
